About MartinMarty's artistic journey traces back to the analog world of graphic art in the 1970s,
where he embarked on a path that would later bridge the realms of traditional and digital creativity. The turning point came in the mid-1980s with the introduction of the Quantel Paintbox during his tenure as an artist at NBC. As the 1990s unfolded, the digital triumvirate of Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator reached a level of sophistication that allowed Martin to produce artwork digitally without compromise. Over his 35 years at NBC, Marty contributed to various programs such as "Dateline", Today", "NBC Sports", and "Saturday Night Live". From 1994 to 2009, he exclusively crafted graphics and animations for "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Marty has worked with a diverse range of clients including The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, television networks (NBC, ABC, CBS), Paramount Television, VH-1, national magazines, well-known music-recording labels, and major book publishers, including the notable "Big Five." Two of Marty's Bauhaus posters are in the A24 Films movie, "Dream Scenario," starring Nicholas Cage. In 2011, Marty founded his YouTube channel, Blue Lightning TV Photoshop, which has garnered over 1 million subscribers. His Photoshop tutorials have been published on Adobe's official website and and referenced in various Photoshop-related sites and blogs. Marty remains devoted to crafting original designs and compositions drawing inspiration from diverse 20th-century art genres, reflecting his deep appreciation and love for them. Many of his creations have been transformed into merchandise, reaching consumers through partnerships with well-known brands such as Urban Outfitters, Gustave Paris, Redbubble, Society6, Mixtiles, and Bonfire. Martin has been honored with multiple New York Emmy Awards for his television work and numerous national awards for his contributions to print.
